Kerala

Welcome to any new blog viewers that may be logging in for the first time..... such as my colleagues from the Bank? Welcome!

I am enjoying a very productive trip to Kerala with work, it has been very eye opening to see how deep one can go into analyzing leadership styles and organizational dynamics, etc. It's almost like it is a science unto itself.

This is the third time in Kerala for me, you may remember our family trip to Kerala from this blog. This is the first time on business, though.

Here are some snaps of the day here in Kovalam.

^ Beach per doston ke saathe.

^ Sun setting over the Arabian Sea. Kerala has two monsoons, this being the second. Thus, not a purely clear vista.

^ Kerala sky.

^ Friends and colleagues.

^ A dead pufferfish I found on a rock.

^ Taj Green Cove - where we are staying.

^ Sunset.

^ Much of the cleaning staff at our resort appear to be young women from north-east India - perhaps Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura - not sure exactly where.

They were enjoying a mellow moment next to the sea, as was I.

^ A typically Keralite boat style. Kerala is the home of the "snake boat", a much enlarged type of boat similar to this with extremely high front and back tip. They seat like 20 guys, and they race them on the backwaters during a certain time of year. Great stuff.

^ And so ends a day in Kerala for all of us. It was awesome.
