Ellora

A long day of visiting a few sites....

^ We saw Daulatabad Fort, one of the coolest places ever. It had a mote, trick tunnels, massive doors, cavernous entrances filled with bats, the guide carried a fire torch..... the works. Honestly, probably the best part of the trip for some of us.

^ Then there was Ellora. The Kailash there was cut from the side of a mountain - it is a single stone. Click on the images and see the details that are there, this photo I took is massive.

^ Many of the caves are Buddhist, but some a Hindu and others are Jain. It is like a living history of the ancient faiths of India. Really interesting! And all of the caves are dug by humans, none of them are naturally occurring.

More photos and stories to come, tonight is the big train ride back to Hyderabad.

It's been an awesome trip.
