The 4th in Vermont

It is with considerable melancholy that we consider this may be our last summer visiting the Cameron home in Vermont. My parents have had the place for 26 years and think it may be time to go to a single home.

You'll see below the gardens the my father keeps up, the various beautiful views of Lake Bomoseen and get a general sense of the charm of the place.

It has indeed been a good run.....

We attended the Fourth of July Parade in Pultney, Vt. Small town America is pretty different from the rest of America, and is even one or two more degrees removed from India. It was a nice event.

By the way, I am one of those people that finds clowns a bit creepy. What is that?

Then later, back at the lake, the regatta came around with music blaring and flags flying. Awesome weather, too.

If you have lived in America, we hope this has made you feel a small tug of nostalgia. If you are amongst our British friends, please know that we love and celebrate and love you during the other 364 days of the year - hello to the Farrands, Edwards, Webbs and Fairlesses! ;-)
