Asleep

The boys fell asleep in front of the TV while watching some Disney movie with bears playing fiddles. They fell asleep with Ashoka, as well. He is on Aidan's legs.

All in a Saturday in Hyderabad

Tara said one night recently, "We have one son with a beautiful mind, one with a beautiful heart, and one with a beautiful face." Now, as parents, we feel that they are all sufficiently interchangeable. But we'll let you guess which one applies mostly to this little guy.



Now our fourth son, Ashoka, is on board. He's a great little guy.





Some pics of the woman sweeping around a steam roller working on the road outside of our house. I had Aidan pose for a faux photo so I could get these snaps, so as not to appear rude.



Jonah was a bit sick, but his visitors still came over.



They came bearing bagles, freshly made by a Swiss banker.




Early in the evening, some devotees adorning a statue in the neighborhood.







Then, after a *great* dinner party, we were walking home and happened upon the altar for the latest Hindu festival, Dussera. This is Lakshmi, goddess of many things - largely synonymous with money and wealth. Tara is checking out a shattered coconut at the base of the statue.

Another birthday party, on the last cusp of monsoon

Another birthday party for Jonah, this one had a guy with a hand-spun potter's wheel. The kids made little cup of their own. Great stuff.

Festivals

This is festival time in India. As Eid hapens at the end of Ramzaan, there is a series - Dusherra, Duwali (hurray!), Christmas, Holi and others. Should be fun!
